Leaking water in a BRAND new home

Inspected a new home recently and found an issue that if it had gone unnoticed could have caused major water damage. Every time you turn on the faucet in the laundry room (which is on the 2nd floor) water would spew out of the prime line that goes to the floor drain. Even I didn’t see the water leaking until about 10 seconds after it was leaking onto the floor. Luckily the water was cleaned up quickly and no damage was caused, minimizing headaches for this new home owner.

If you’ve purchased a new home in Ontario from a builder they are required to have a warranty for it. Take advantage of that warranty and hire a Certified Master Inspector to thoroughly go through your home and inspect every single inch to ensure everything was built properly and doesn’t have issues.
